Course information

CHC30708 Certificate III of Children’s Services

Upon completion of CHC30708 Certificate III in Children Services you will be referred to as a Child Care Assistant.

Occupational names may include:

• Child Care Assistant
• Family Day Carer
• Nanny
• Out of School Hours Care Assistant *
• Recreation Assistant *
• Unqualified Child Care Worker

*Some jurisdictions require CHC41208) Certificate IV in Children’s Services (Outside school hours care)

About the course

• Certificate III in Children Services is a Nationally Accredited Course which covers children 0-12 years.
• Includes 15 units of study
• 20 weeks full time
• Work experience occurs throughout entire course ensuring you are job ready.
• Fun hands on learning environment
• All trainers have Bachelor Degree’s in Early Childhood and years of experience.

Upon completion of Certificate III you will be eligible to continue studying to gain the full Diploma of Children’s Services or start work with your Certificate III in Children’s Services .

Entry Requirements

• Year 10 or Equivalent ability at reading and writing in English
• 16 years of age
